Google Notebook challenging Digg.com and changing SEO

One of Google's new tools for it's account holders is called Google Notebook.

Google will be taking a stab at allowing people to search the web via other users comments on websites and search results. Google users will notice a new link displayed along with all search results that says "NOTE THIS". If you click it, it changes to: "Duly Noted" ... From there you can add a comment.

Google users can also search Google Notebook and retrieve results based on what other people have written.

By implementing Notebook, Google will also be taking a dig at Digg.com
Digg.com allows people to read other peoples submissions and "Digg" what they like best. If the story or website is good and receives enough Diggs, it is promoted to the front page for the millions of visitors to see.

Since Google is now starting to do the same thing, The old days at Digg.com may be limited. Some users speculate that Google may attempt to buy Digg.com like it did with Youtube.com after it launched Google Videos. Other people think Google Notebook will inadvertently shut down Digg.com like it did to the old search engines.

Google's stock price remains at an all time high of course. Digg.com is still very popular. :)
